I grew up on a large horse farm in northern Maryland, have lived in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the low country of South Carolina, the eastern side of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, and now a forever resident of the Appalachian Mountains in Hampshire County, West Virginia. Growing up, I worked on my family’s 120+ acre thoroughbred horse farm in Darlington, MD. I lived in Charleston, SC to attend college. I then moved to the Steamboat Springs area in Colorado working as a ranch hand leading horse guided trips. I moved to Virginia in 2003. There I began volunteering at Little Fork Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company and worked as a veterinary assistant. During this time, I trained to become a certified firefighter, and licensed National Registry Paramedic. In 2005, I was hired as a professional Firefighter/Paramedic with the Fauquier County Department of Fire Rescue Emergency Management and worked with them for thirteen years. In my 2016 evaluation, Battalion Chief Lorenzen stated “Her work is top notch and rarely requires correction. She is a team player.” In the area of customer service, it was noted that “She shines in this area. She consistently goes above and beyond for her patients, their families, and the citizens and visitors of the county. She is a true advocate of customer service.” I am a lifetime member and still active volunteer with Little Fork Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company with over 20 years of service. Now in WV, I am working full-time as an Associate Broker at Pioneer Ridge Realty. In my free time, I spend my days helping my husband on our farm and raising our beautiful daughter. I am blessed to have many happy clients over the years of selling Real Estate in WV. In a recent review, it stated that “Kate goes above and beyond for her clients.
